Katrina Clark Tempero // Principal, User Experience Designer

For the last decade Katrina has been bringing engaging user experiences to life through research, iteration and design. She has designed interfaces for web-based SaaS Innovation management software, led the design and development of large-scale websites like IEEE Industry Standards and most recently joined Yahoo’s search design team.

Her background is in digital design and fine art. She has a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Humboldt State University and furthered her education by participating in the Nielson Norman Group Usability Week and Stanford University continuing studies classes with courses in mobile design, user experience and product management.

She began her career as a visual designer at a small high-tech marketing firm in Santa Clara, CA where she worked on projects for a wide-range of clients including Broadcom, Allayer Communications, LightWire and HyperTransport Consortium. In 2006, she opened KC Design, a full service web development company.

Kevin Chappell // Lead Engineer

Kevin Chappell is the Senior Programmer leading the technical development team at KC Design Lab. Kevin has twelve years experience in web development including mobile applications, custom SaaS applications and world class website development. He is our technical guru, making anything we can imagine work. He is trained in front-end engineering, data management and multimedia applications.

Diogo Tempero // Project Manager

Diogo Tempero is the project and client relationship manager at KCDL. He brings over 10 years of relationship management experience, having worked in European and American banking. Prior to the financial industry he spent 2 years with the United Nations Information Center in Lisbon, Portugal as the project manager of an educational awareness program.

Diogo joined KCDL in July 2013 to serve as our project manager, overseeing project schedules, requirements and the successful completion of our projects. Diogo conducts comprehensive research and makes sure every member of the team is fully aware of the overall project goals. He is well versed in Drupal, WordPress and Joomla website management systems.
